A Hard Day's Night

Hi all- So last night I was feeling good- All the lovely ladies were sound asleep...and it always seemes to work this way. Just as soon as I turned my light out and put my head on the pillow...I hear it...a faint whimper and cry working its way down the hall and into my bedroom. I have been working on having Lady and Miss realize they have beds and need to sleep in them all night- so off I took Miss back to bed...got her snuggled in and then I heard it... Teetee must have heard us in the hall and was none too happy. She was screaming like she was in a horror show- "Mumma come get me... Mumma I want to go to your room." By my 3rd child I have learned my lesson and refuse to bring her into bed with me... because of this I have taken to...sleeping on her floor next to her crib. It is the most uncomfortable thing and have down it many times and promised myself not to do it again... but last night I had had enough of the carpet being my mattress. So I went in a rocked her and sang to her, got her back in her crib said the nighnighs again and crept out... Just as I got back into my bed- Another scream from Teetee echoed through my brain... I tried to wait it out- but of course her shrieks woke the other 2 little ones... and they soon found their way into my room and piled into my bed. At this point I didn't care. I did care when Miss started crying that Lady wasn't sharing the bed with her- it is a king size bed and Miss is a teeny tiny lil thing... I finally got them seperated and started my night of shuffling back and forth to the crib. I was determined not to sleep on the floor so this went on for close to 3...yes, 3 hours. When morning rolled around and it was time to get my fresh faced little bub, she hugged me and said "gud moring Mumma" like she hadn't seen me in hours :)

Dropped the girls off at Auntie's and headed to the gym- banged out 50 mins on the elliptical and got home- showered and am doing some work. Promised my mum I would take her to Target today so after lunch will pick her up do some retail therapy and hopefully get back home in time to work a few more hours before getting the girls.

As for the title of my blog... Here is how it came about.

After dh* moved out for good- I had the 3 girls and we were having what we call a dance party... More or less every night after tubs and before bedtime- I put on some music and we all dance around... it is such a riot to see them dance and sing- Teetee has recently got into the dance aspect and she twirls in a circle until she is wicked dizzy then she attempts a somersault and ends up doing a sideways roll... On this night- we stopped dancing and I was explaining to the girls that we will always be a family- but right now living in our house- it will just be the girls- that we will always be a team and that both mumma and daddy love them very much.... I was trying to be strong and loving and show them that everything was going to be just fine...That is when Lady said to all of us... "Hey I got a great idea, why don't we be team girl rockstars" I was thinking where did this come from- and then Miss piped in- "Yay! We are team girl rockstars" so that's that.

And believe me they are rockstars.. Their favorite is Taylor Swift but they also like Beyonce, Britney, Pink and some other poptarts... but I am also prud to inform that they also love the oldies too... KC and the Sunshine Band and some Bobby Darin get their feet moving too :)

*Soon to be ex husband, will be referred to as dh- on many chat boards dh = dear husband- I like to think dh = d***head, drunk husband, and some other names but I think dh will do for the purpose of this blog.

Off to work... xoxo Mumma K
