Hi there- After a wicked busy weekend... I am hoping things finally settle down and a routine can be put in place.
Let's see what we did over the past 3 days.
Friday- We met a friend and her 3 kiddos at a petting zoo and water park.It was a nice day weather wise and while I lubed the kiddos up with SPF- I forgot to do myself... To be honest it wasn't all that sunny and it was breezy but I got a bad burn on my shoulders, chest and back... ugh. Had to rush home after the zoo and tried to time the girls napping because I had a photography session for me and the girls and yes dh was there. I am trying to be the bigger person and I know that the girls will love to have "family" pictures so we all got our pictures taken at my house. I am so excited to see them. I got some of just me and the girls and one of dh and the girls so when things are finalized we will all have some pictures.
After the photo session we went down to my brother's house and we played, had a couple cocktails and had pizza with his family. Meltdowns were imminent so got the girls home in their pj's and to bed! Bedtime is another nightmare :( I am just at a loss as to what to do- and have resigned myself to never being able to sleep again.
Saturday- We had a friend's daughters 1 year old birthday party- That started at noon... made some brownies packed a bag because it was a pool party. Got there and the girls had a blast- Only Lady decided to swim and b/c of her swim lessons she is doing a great job. Her crawl is previous with her lil arms working away and when she lifts her head up to breathe it is so sweet- melts my heart to see her trying so hard. Left there around 3:30pm and rushed over to my parent's for lobster fest!!! YUM! We had it much later in the day then we normally do and it seemed really crammed. Lady swam some more- I was worried that she would be just to tired but she wanted to keep up with her big cousins...but when it was time to get out- she was exhausted... She was melting down but when I reminded her it was also August Birthday party (all the family member whose birthdays are in August are celebrated on the same day- so 4 peoples this time) so she would be having cake and ice cream and opening presents she perked right back up. Miss was her entertaining self- walking around singing and playing in the sand box- her newest favorite song is "If I were a Boy" by Beyonce- I am nervouse about gender confusing :) but she belts it out - so funny! and Teetee is just such a love. She is such an easy going happy baby- She is the kind of kiddo that when she falls down or gets hurt- she shrugs it off and gets right back up... She is talking so so well and strangers have commented to me that they can't believe she is not even 2. I can't believe she is not even 2...Brought the girls pj's got them changed and home right into bed. Around midnight I heard Shea crying and when I went into her room- she was sleep walking and standing in the middle of her room- just crying... poor baby was so over done. Got her to bed and they all slept until 6am. A first happened on Sunday all 3 of them napped. Lady and Miss haven't napped, well, in a long time...so they must have been tired.
Sunday- I had our sitter come over in the morning because I had errands and things to do- bank, cvs, gym, returns to ON and Gap, and had to run to my office for a bit.... Well my office took much longer so the gym lost out. Got everything else done. Got home and then it was time to go back to my parents for swimming lessons- ended up have supper there and my other brothers kids were there so had to help feed them as well b/c parents had to work and had previous plans... Turkey dogs and grilled cheese- Pop made me some steak tips and grilled onions and peppers- yum! After swim lessons got into pj's and got home and to bed... and here we are... very busy weekend and I will try and load some pictures later... next weekend we have Lady's birthday party and cousin C's birthday arty so should be just as busy- love summer!!
xoxo
